I congratulate the Kawai Keyboard Series on attaining its tenth anniversary. The series is widely recognised for providing audiences with divine live performances, and in leading the musicians of tomorrow by the example of its locally, nationally and internationally recognised concert artists.

Stephen Savage has acquired a wide range of experience which is available to music schools and performance organisations.

He is founder and curator of the Kawai Keyboard Series in Brisbane, now the most extensive recital series in Australia. This activity has also included ongoing work into audience development.

Stephen Savage has:

• Acted as external examiner to leading schools including the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where he comprehensively reviewed the School of Music in 2006 and 07. Also, frequent engagements as examiner in piano, most recently to National Academy for Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore, and the RAM, RCM and RNCM in England.
• Presented masterclasses at many schools and colleges.
• Directed large-scale projects including the 1990 Tippett Festival in Brisbane, still the most extensive event devoted to the work of a living composer to be presented in Australia.

Stephen Savage is an experienced juror on leading national/international piano competitions, most recently in Australia, UK and Italy.

He is an articulate and effective adjudicator in music festivals.
